Almond Company
Co-founder of the Compagnie des Amandes for 3 years now, we are seeing more and more almond tree replanting projects emerge in the South of France!
The almond company is built on an innovative model uniting investor and farmer. While we provide our support for the installation and fair remuneration of the farmer, we will benefit from their know-how to offer local and responsible almonds by 2023!
Green electricity
We are proud to have signed the first long-term contract for the purchase of renewable green electricity with Voltalia and LCL. This contract, unique in Europe, plans to supply more than a third of our electricity consumption with green electricity for 20 years, at a guaranteed price.
This partnership involves us, with 9 other companies, in the construction of a new 56 megawatt photovoltaic power plant in the south of France. This plant will be an agri-solar operation combining an agricultural operation with a solar farm.
We also replaced all of our conventional bulbs in our production plant with LED bulbs and saved 30% of our electricity consumption in 2021 compared to 2019.
Recyclability
For several years, we have been working to reduce our environmental impact by reducing our waste. We have initiated a change by switching certain ranges to recyclable paper packaging. We aim to switch all of our bags to recyclable and/or compostable bags.
In addition, 100% of our boxes are recycled, we have implemented the change of all plastic cups into cardboard cups and the distribution of insulated bottles to employees to limit the use of single-use cups.
Company vehicle
2 electric vehicles are made available to employees so that they can travel between our 2 sites (head office and production factory).
